Do cravings run your life?

“Cravings” by Unknown

Oh Wanting, Wishing, CRAVING One!

I was reading my favorite copy of the Tao Te Ching last night…

And I wanted to share a short verse with you

It’s on “Tempering”

and it applies to cravings, excess, and the path to contentment

Verse 3 of The Tao Te Ching – Tempering

Overpraising the gifted
leads to contentiousness.
Overvaluing the precious
invites stealing.
Craving the desirable
loses contentment.

The natural person
desires without craving
and acts without excess.

By not doing,
everything is done.

If you feel so inclined take a moment to ponder this idea…

And consider this:

When our physical, emotional and spiritual needs are unfulfilled, we develop desperate cravings because we are starved.

So… What can you do to ensure you needs are being fulfilled?

It may take a new way of looking at things…

to find the answer that’s right for you.

I’d love to know what you come up with – feel free to share your insights below ;)

Or if you need a little help, finding a new perspective…

You KNOW I’m here for you!

Love and Light,
Colette

    run your imagination wild;
    let all cravings be fulfilled;
    feel the contentment – level
    brimming;drink up the juice
    of success to your heart`s satiety;
    feel full;feel blissful and then
    gently let it go off;let the illusion
    merge back into void of the universe
    from where you drew joy in heart!
    tempting is tempered tolerably
    let go,let come,let come;
    enjoy the temptation with a sense of
    detachment as it is~feel nourished!
